i was sitting at the Muni station, listening to my iPod and waiting for the M train to arrive. a woman was sitting next to me on the bench. after about ten minutes, the woman waved her hand in front of my face to get my attention. i took my headphones off and she asked me to help her walk to the elevator because she had just had a seizure and her leg was limp. i, of course helped her to the elevator just as my train was arriving. i missed the train, but that's okay. i helped the woman all the way up to the street and caught her a taxi.
so i had supposedly done my good deed for the day. but i still felt funny about it. i didnt see her have a seizure because i had been looking the other way, watching for the train. but i didnt even hear her cuz i had been listening to my iPod. and had i grabbed any of the five L or K trains that came before, i wouldnt have been there to help her.
somehow i feel like there was a bigger meaning behind all this and im just missing it.

This reminds me of that Robin William's movie, Patch Adams, where he dresses up like a clown and convinces Robert DeNiro to talk for a while and then learns an important lesson on life.
In this case, you are Robert DeNiro. A very sexy Robert DeNiro.
